Vacation Sunscreen

Just this morning, I (Bluedot’s Marketplace Editor) shook up a can of Classic Whip SPF 30 Sunscreen Mousse from Vacation, sprayed some onto my arm, and immediately started hooting with laughter. The sunscreen looked just like whipped cream, had that classic piña-colada smell, and rubbed in like a dream. And the dispenser is an eco-smart propellant, not an aerosol! Vacation’s entire line meets Hawaii’s Reef Compliant guidelines and is paraben-free. If you’re looking for a physical sunscreen (always best practice if you are snorkeling, diving, or near any reefs), I recommend Vacation's Mineral Lotion SPF 30, which rubs in faster and more easily than any zinc-based screen I’ve ever used. I also like their Classic Spray SPF 30. But, it’s the Whip that truly gave me joy. This will undoubtedly be the summer I never forget sunscreen.

For the fragrance-averse among us — and I generally consider myself one of you — I’ll note that Vacation calls itself “The World’s Best-Smelling Sunscreen.” And it does smell. Like fun: like beach balls, drink umbrellas, and big floppy hats (or, more specifically, like coconut, pineapple, banana, swimming pools, and sea salt). But, after five minutes, I stopped noticing the scent altogether. For me, the perfect combination.
