Dear Reader,
Students deserve the summer break thatβs starting β theyβve been hard at work fighting for their right to learn more about climate change!Β
In New Hampshire, a group of students wrote a resolution for the state legislature. Unfortunately, the measure didnβt pass but itβs a win every time students push us to be better. In Illinois, students succeeded in getting their school board to make
Evanston Township High School the third in the country to adopt a Green New Deal for Schools plan that includes sustainability goals and lessons.
And then there are the teens who bought an oil well β¦ just to shut it down!Β
And, of course, there are the teens at the Bluedot Institute, working hard in their communities and sharing stories about the ideas and achievements that resonate with them.
For all of these reasons, high schoolers are Dotβs Climate Champs! Keep us honest, teens, and show us how itβs done.
Geriatrically,
Dot
