Dear Reader,
Weโre used to blaming cars for our greenhouse gas emissions, but lots of us still donโt consider the impact of cows โ specifically, the super-charged greenhouse gas methane, which is released when cows, ummm, fart. Or burp. But Denmark isnโt sleeping on the bovine by-product and plans to implement the worldโs first tax on agricultural emissions (which includes pig flatulence, too). Beginning in 2030, Danish farmers will have to pay a levy of about $43 per (roughly) 2,200 pounds of methane, a fee that will more than double in 2035. But thatโs not all Denmark is doing. The country is creating new forests and cultivating peatlands (which are climate change-combatting superstars, as Bluedot reporter Cleo Carney explains).
Denmark might be the smallest Scandinavian country but itโs punching way above its weight in climate action.
Gaslessly,
Dot

Are you too young to think about how youโre aging? Probably not.
|
|
Starting in our 30s, some key cellular processes begin to slow down, making us feel tired and weak over time. This decline affects not just our physical strength and endurance, but significantly reduces our quality of life making everyday activities harder to enjoy. Luckily, scientists have discovered a way to shape how we age. Mitopureยฎ, by Timeline, targets the root cause of this cellular decline and is clinically proven to increase cellular energy, giving our bodies the energy they need to function optimally. The results? Double-digit increases in muscle strength and endurance without any change in exercise. |
